The Complete Guide to a Perfect Bridal Look: Essential Tips for Your Wedding Day

TIPS TO LOOK GORGEOUS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

From looking at what foods you should be eating to the beauty treatment worth doing, we share top tips that help ensure you look you are very best on your special day.

START LOOKING AT YOUR DIET
Changing your diet two or more months before getting married can be an effective way to give your skin and body a rest and refresh.
Nutritionist Christina Bailey, shares what you should be incorporating in the run-up to the big day: "One of the easiest and cheapest ways to make improvements to your skin and general well-being is to look at what you pile on your plate. Remove the refined sugary foods, skip the dairy, and add in plenty of colorful antioxidant-rich vegetables and fruits to protect the skin, support healing, and lower inflammation."

DON'T GET A FACIAL TOO CLOSE TO THE BIG DAY
It's probably, not a smart move to get an aggressive facial peel just before the wedding. Depending on the facial, it could take days for the redness to fully subside. and you also won't see the full effect of a facial after just one.

Dr. Justine Hextall, Consultant Dermatologist says, "One often needs a series of facial treatments for maximum effect and there is often at least a two-week break between each treatment. I always advise fastidious sun avoidance before, during, and after such treatments to prevent unwanted skin hyperpigmentation.

DO REGULAR DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT ON YOUR HAIR
Want shiny, luscious locks for your big day? Then finding a good conditioner to use regularly is a must. Neil Moodie, Stylist says leaving the conditioner on long enough to penetrate and once a week treatment is essential, especially on dry damaged hair. He advises to leave on for 20 minutes, again allowing the ingredients to penetrate into the hair shaft properly."

AVOID DRINKING THE NIGHT BEFORE
Hydration is key photography ready skin, Dr. Justine Hextall recommends, "Healthy juices and a good night's sleep to see through the next day." She adds, "Try to avoid the temptation of too many celebratory cocktails, stick to water and juice if you can. Before sleeping gently cleanse the skin, and apply a good layer or your favorite moisturizer. Most importantly relax."

AVOID APPLYING HIGHLIGHTER
Beauty expert Bryony Blake suggests avoiding the temptation to load on the product. "It's a case of enhancing your features without being too heavy-handed."
She is also against using tons of highlighter "Go easy on the shimmer and instead opt for something that can create a dewy, natural look, that looks like your skin glows from within."
